Night Train is a film about projection and about personal experiences. In this sense, it is about a multitude of things. What we witness between our two characters on the screen are the shared personal and private experiences between them that surmount into one moment. What we understand as witnesses is also based off of the experiences personal to us.

This film was completed in stop motion by sliding black paper along layers of glass.

 

🏆 Night Train was a semi-finalist for the 2018 Student Academy Awards. It was the recipient of the Bronze Achievement in Animation at the 2018 SCAD Spring Showcase. It was also the recipient of several Awards of Merit from the Summer 2018 Southern Shorts Awards Festival for Direction, Cinematography, Production, Editing, Production Design, Music, and Sound Design. It screened at Cinequest 2019 and the 2019 Boston Underground Film Festival. 🏆
